The family of a Texas State student, who was shot and killed by his neighbor through the wall of his apartment, is fighting for a county judge to review the sentencing of the shooter after he was sentenced to just 90 days in jail.
Austin Salyer, 20, was lying in bed inside his apartment when he was fatally shot at around midnight at his apartment in San Marcos, between Austin and San Antonio, in September 2021.
