The Best Pieces To Buy In The Debenhams Closing Down Sale

After 242 years on the high street, sadly department store retailer Debenhams has become the latest Covid high street casualty having been in administration since April.

Rescue discussions with JD Sport fell through last week after the collapse of the Arcadia Group, which owns Topshop, Topman, Miss Selfridge, Dorothy Perkins, Wallis and Evans. Unfortunately for Debenhams, Arcadia was one its biggest concessions, making up around £75m of sales so it was a losing battle for the brand.

While it’s a devastating blow for employees and the chain’s regular customers, everything has to go and right now, there’s a huge clearance sale online and in-store. The offers, which began on 2 December, saw a boom of online shoppers head to the website last week which eventually crashed before a virtual queuing system was implemented. Thankfully, it’s back up and running again and there are some pretty amazing bargains on offer - from dresses and boots to suitcases and candles.
